In my opinion, John Lott is one of the strongest and most logical voices in the fight for gun owners’ civil rights.  

Not surprisingly, the prohibitionists hate him for it, and constantly bad-mouth him.  They like to claim his research has been debunked.

It’s a dirty debate trick, not to mention the height of narcissism, to claim that because you disagree with a person you have debunked him or her.

The only way I see the two syllables of that word as relevant to the discussion is this: when I hear someone badmouth John Lott, I want to answer, “Dat’s de bunk, punk.”

  1. Unfortunately, I think we have reached the point in this country where the prohibitionists and totalitarians don’t care if they can convince you to accept their positions and don’t even try. The Democratic Party and their media and big tech bagmen now resort to outright lies, theft, bribery and raw power to advance their agenda.

    • You are right. 100% right, but the Republican party is just as guilty. I can’t, for the life of me, name one politician that I look up to, or that shows any concern about integrity, honesty and truth.

  4. Thanks, Mas. John Lott was excellent as always. After hearing him tell us how the FBI is putting out lying statistics, I have even less trust in what the government communicates to us.

    Look at how much we have to fight to simply keep the freedoms our forebears provided for us back in 1776. Tyranny, oppression and slavery are totally common and normal for the nations of this world today and throughout history. Our liberty under law is a precious, rare, costly and fragile jewel, which is constantly in danger of being lost to tyrants.

    Alvin Bragg is the District Attorney of a small island named Manhattan. Yet, he has the power to indict a former President, on the flimsiest of charges. And, that former President should be in his second term. Instead, because of cheating, we have a fake President. Look at how much power George Soros has. The people on the Left cannot be a majority of Americans, yet look at how we all dance to their tune.

    I hope the people on our side will not take the bait, and rally round Trump in NYC this Tuesday. The Left is laying a trap for us.

      You can see why people are already fleeing these Left-wing sewage tanks, like New York and California, in droves. Most are departing for Red States (hope they abandoned their left-wing politics in the sewage tanks, where they belong, before packing up and moving to “Free America”. Each one should take the “Red Pill” before swimming out of the sewage)!

      If the majority of the taxpayers move out of these septic systems, only the sewage will be left behind. They will all implode and die. Their death means life for America! After all, the only cure is to kill off all the cancer cells that have metastasized in these Blue States. Either the cancer eats itself and dies off or, else, it will continue to spread and take all of America down with it.

      Left-wing ideology is the most dangerous thing that humans have ever created. Compared to this poisonous ideology; Nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons pale to insignificance!

        I don’t expect him to “crawfish” on the charges against President Trump, however. As I noted in an earlier blog post, these charges are politically motivated and are designed to interfere in the 2024 Presidential Election. No doubt, the orders to persecute President Trump came down from the highest levels of the democrat party.

        Besides, Bragg won’t care if those charges go forward or, ultimately, get tossed out. Simply filing them serves the political purposes of the people who pull his puppet strings.

  8. I read Professor Lott’s first book years ago and am certain that he is the most reliable resource we have in the 2A community in terms of critical incident stats. As others have said, the truth doesn’t matter to the left. They are pushing for our total disarmament.

  9. “More Guns, Less Crime” by John Lott is a must read for all 2nd Amendment advocates. It gives one the undeniable facts to put forth a unarguably discussion. Of course, if you are arguing with an idiot you will never win and it is best to just shut up

    The National Review is infested with too many RINO’s, for my taste, but, nevertheless, there is a lot of truth in this opinion piece. It also goes a long way toward backing up my previous blog comment concerning the Trump Indictment. It is all a dirty, political trick to secure President Trump the Republican nomination in 2024. The democrats are convinced that, between media smears, TDS, and their poll-stuffing and cheating tricks, they can continue to control the Government after the 2024 Presidential Election.

    They think Ron DeSantis is the stronger Republican Candidate in 2024. They have not had an opportunity to smear him and create “DeSantis Derangement Syndrome (DDS)” like they have with President Trump. They have spent years building up TDS in the “Low Information” segment of the American Public. That is a “store of value” that they really want to re-use in 2024.

    So, make Trump a Martyr with a bunch of legally weak charges, get him the Republican nomination in 2024, then “Smear and Cheat” their way to victory again in the 2024 Presidential Election. That is the democrat plan. That is the reason Bragg has filed these charges in 2023. One year in advance of the Presidential nomination process really kicking off.

    Frankly, even the Nazis and the Borgias pale, in terms of pure EVIL, to America’s Democrat Party. I thought that the democrats were bad in the 19th Century with their support of slavery, the KKK, and Jim Crow. I thought that they were bad with their labor union links to organized crime. I thought that they were bad when they invented the “Welfare State” and destroyed the family and Christian values. Apparently, there is no limit to the bottomless pit of their PURE EVIL. Their EVIL in the 21st Century has only grown WORSE!

      The Left has given him a nickname — “DeathSantis” — due to his refusal to lock down his state’s economy during COVID. (Ironically, Florida’s COVID death rate was notably lower than New York State’s, but don’t expect that tidbit to make any headlines.)

      I’ve heard that nickname used in Oregon.

      “DeSantis Derangement Syndrome” may not be as well-established or deeply-rooted as “Trump Derangement Syndrome”, but it’s there and you can be sure the media will be pushing it hard if/when DeSantis decides to run for national office.

      Personally, I hope he stays in Florida for the next couple election cycles. I’d love to see him in the Oval Office, but right now he’s doing good work in his home state and until Trump is out of the way they would distract from each other (ensuring a Democrat victory).
