      Correct. In school we were taught we could persuade others if we used reasonable arguments. That is not always true.

    Right there is your problem. The concept of “Truth” versus “Lies”.

    The American Left (which includes the firearms prohibitionists) does not even believe in the concept that there can be a “Universal Truth”. In their book, there is no such thing as a “Lie” because there is no such thing as the “Truth”. There are only politically expedient “Narratives”. In their ideology, if one controls “The Narrative” then one is Master of “The Truth”.

    People ought to go back and read George Orwell’s novel “1984”. Pay particular attention to his description of the operation of the “Ministry of Truth”. That will tell you all you need to know about how the Left views Truth.

    Their whole ideology is built upon a fluid Worldview. For example, they see “Racism” under every rock, not because it is there, but because it is politically useful for them to claim it so. They reject the “Truth” that humans have fixed biological genders in favor of the concept of fluid genders that can change daily or even hourly. Thus, their concept of “Truth” is just as fluid and changeable as their concept of gender. It is two sides of the same coin, don’t you see?

    What always amazes me is that people, like Lee Williams above, seem to delight in writing stories that purportedly “catch” these leftists in the act of lying. I suppose that, because Conservatives still believe in “Truth”, they continue to “hope” that some vestige of such a belief still lingers in the American Left. Let me “wise you up”. No such vestige still exists.

    Honestly (no pun intended), were you really expecting people, who reject the very concept of “Truth”, to be “Truth-Tellers”? Ha, Ha, Ha, that is very funny if “True”! 🙂

    When you catch a Leftist in the act of telling a lie, what (exactly) have you accomplished? It is like finding an alcoholic in the “Drunk Tank” of the local Police Station. Sorry, no revelation here!

    • Yes, and that alcoholic now in the drunk tank has very often done God awful harm to an innocent person in order to get there.

    • Excellent John Mohan, I agree with you that TN_MAN hit upon an important insight regarding certain inflexible attitudes of leftists. They will deliberately evade rationality in order to promote their own prejudice. Like a saying about unrepentant drug addicts newly arrived in rehab, you know they are lying because their lips are moving. Leftists always remind me of what I call “adolescent relativism,” where teenagers tend to reason in circles in order to promote a consensus of opinion that appears to justify what they want in the moment, as in “it’s all relative.”

    • Excellent article. If the globalists can keep us all comfortable, the coming tyranny may be life as we knew it when we were teenagers. We didn’t have to work. We could enjoy ourselves because our parents supported us. My guess is the globalists could not afford to do that, and they could not refrain from their desire to boss us around. Once they restricted our freedoms, many of us would rebel against them.

      In the 1940s, our government perceived Germany and Japan to be threats. It mobilized, and our whole society strove together toward the goals of neutralizing those two threats. Those who did not volunteer to help the cause were drafted.

      Today, our nation has problems, but the government does not want to fix them. If any of us were to try to fix the problems on our own, the government would stop us. For instance, if I motivated thousands of Patriots to help me close the border, the government would prevent us from closing it. If I lived in a city, and put together a team to address the crime problem, the government would shut us down. President Trump was fixing problems, and the government shut him down.

      So, American citizens in the 1940s got to be heroes because they saved America, and a large portion of the world. Today’s Patriots can’t even save America, because the government will resist them. It’s depressing to watch America commit suicide.

  6. Here is a prime example of the kind of “Truth” that one can expect from the American Left. It is a classic example of creating a narrative to present as “Truth”.
