The Evil Princess and I were married last week.  I hope you’ll be happy for us.

It was a simple ceremony in Chicagoland. She’s a native of Chicago (I maintain I rescued her, though she still says “kidnapped”) and since we’re both Second Amendment rights activists, it pleased us all the more to do it in “conquered territory.”

It was an open carry wedding, highly unusual in those environs but legal there on private property. If our kind of folks did the social register thing, the newspaper announcement might have read, “The bride wore a Glock 19 9mm, and the groom wore a Smith & Wesson 1911 .45 ACP, accessorized by a .38 Special Smith & Wesson Model 442.”

No one really noticed. One reason might be that we both wore black. (Why bride and groom would wear black is a matter we’ll leave to speculation for now.)  The guns and holsters were black too. They blend in rather discreetly.

The officiator didn’t seem to notice the hardware. Neither did the mother of the bride, but I maintain this it was because her shotgun blocked her view of my hip…

Outstanding news uncle Mas, congrats to you and Gail from AZ!I really loved the picture of her in one of your illustrated concealed carry books with a 9mm P239; the book is well thumbed and worn, but like love itself, never really seems to grow old.
