…there IS no debate, at least for people who want to keep their gun rights.

It was sad that neither candidate could give a straight answer to simple questions.

They say the devil you know beats the devil you don’t. This is the first time I can remember where I’ve had to choose the devil I don’t know, because the devil I do know so blatantly hates my kind and everything I stand for.

I am one of the five million plus NRA members Hillary Clinton has declared to be her enemy. She has publicly praised the Australian “gun control” scheme in which the government confiscates firearms legally purchased and responsibly owned by law abiding citizens. Her deep contempt for law enforcement, including her own Arkansas State Police bodyguards in the past and Secret Service agents since, is widely known.  More recently, without hearing from the police defense side, she called police shootings “intolerable” – a poor showing of ethics or fairness by a woman who was once an attorney, after she finally passed the bar exam.  I’m a cop; I’m a law-abiding gun owner; and I am not inclined to vote for people who hate and demonize me and Americans like me.

On this litmus test issue, Donald Trump has come out for our side. Yes, at one time he supported the “assault weapons ban,” but he has since foresworn that publicly.  Hillary Clinton has been implacably anti-gun and anti-police for her entire career. The devil I don’t know can’t possibly be worse than the devil who has made herself clearly known.

I understand why many people I respect are voting for third party candidates. But it’s clear that those candidates can’t win.  The “statement” made by voting for them gives only an empty, self-righteous “feel-good” moment to that particular voter, and does not serve the common good.  It appears that third party votes will draw mostly from the Trump side, not the Clinton side, and equal a vote for Clinton…not a good thing for those to whom either justice or the right to self-protection is important. If you look at the polls, predicted Trump votes plus predicted third party votes will be enough to defeat Clinton, but predicted Trump votes alone will not.

We remember when Ross Perot was the spoiler whose third party votes gave us eight years of a Bill Clinton presidency, and the ten onerous years of the Assault Weapons Ban.

Which is why I for one am inclined to hold my nose and vote for Donald Trump.

  1. Yesterday before the debate Trump sent a series of tweets which can be read to say that Republican candidates who have withdrawn support from him over his remarks about women should lose. That’s interesting in light of the crowd reaction when Rep. Joe Heck (R-Nevada) announced that he was withdrawing support from Trump.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dD_08ujxVaM&feature=youtu.be

(In brief, he was booed by the Trump supporters.)

This sets up this interesting situation: There is a very good chance that there is going to be a low turnout by Republican mainstream voters and that Trump’s chances are based on the turnout of his “true believer” supporters. But with this recent tweet and reaction that even Trump’s true believers may not vote for the other Republican candidates who have disavowed Trump, leaving them vulnerable to their Democratic opponents.

Since only four seats have to change to give the Democrats control of the Senate and since there are at least 12 Senators who have recently turned on Trump (though I’m not sure all twelve are currently up for re-election), there’s a very real possibility that Trump may not only lose, but take control of the Senate down with him.

And remember that Supreme Court nominees are nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate.

  2. Democrats are evil. They will unitedly vote for Clinton regardless of her history, incompetence, and values. They will not stay home on election day.

Republicans are stupid and suicidal. They nominate a bait-and-switch salesman who shares none of their values and then split a half-dozen ways to vote for people they never would have nominated and who have no chance of getting even one electoral vote. Many will pout and abstain from voting altogether.

The Republicans will put the Duchess of Chappaqua in the White House. Utah Republicans will lead the way to eight more years of Clintons.

    We need smarter voters.

  3. … it’s clear that those candidates can’t win.

I understand where you’re coming from, but that will only remain true so long as this mantra keeps being repeated and followed by those who would otherwise vote for a third party candidate.

If ever there was a time for a break in the political duopoly, it’s this election – where a sizable portion of both parties are disgusted with their “representative”.

  4. First time I’m disagreeing with Mas. I know that I might be voting alone but seeing as both the democrats and republicans are each saying they know what parts of the Bill of Rights need to be taken away I cannot vote for them. I have changed my party alignment to Libertarian and will be voting for Gary Johnson. If keeping my integrity and and principles are simply “self righteous feel good” actions then so be it. All Americans should be enjoying the freedoms of their choice and not just the choices we like and agree with.

  5. Mas – While I would not consider somebody “evil” just for their voting choice, I would advise you to have a really, really good grip on your nostrils.

Funnily enough I heard the same, but rotated through 180-degrees, on another board. Somebody there said that they’d vote for Hiliary, but they’d be holding their nose while they did so.

  6. Way back around the first part of August, I commented on the corruption of this election campaign. My words have proven so true that I will repeat them again for the benefit of those who missed them back then.

“Well, folks, I can already nominate the 2016 Presidential Election as the most “Rigged” Presidential Election in U.S. History. You can talk about the 1800 and 1824 elections (both decided by the House of Representatives) or about the “Hayes Steal” of 1876 or the “hanging Chads” and SCOTUS decision of the 2000 election (if you want) but none of them holds a candle to the shenanigans being pulled by the DNC and the MSM in this 2016 event. I call it an event because to call it a contest implies that the outcome is in doubt whereas the Leftist are doing their best to eliminate any possibility of losing. They are operating on Sun Tzu’s principal that “The victorious general secures victory before the battle is even fought”. This is being done by “rigging” this election six-ways from Sunday!

The problem from the Leftist point of view (you see) is that blasted 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. This prevents them from just anointing their messiah, Barack Hussein Obama, as “President for Life” as they would dearly love to do. Even President Obama cannot draft an “Executive Order” that is strong enough to negate the 22nd Amendment. This means that the 2016 Election must put someone new in the White House.

For a variety of reasons, the Leftist found that they had to enter the 2016 Horse Race while riding that “Old Grey Mare” named Hillary. President Obama has created such a “Cult of Personality” among the democrats that he has effectively blasted the creation of a new, younger generation of democratic leaders. There is no “Young Obama” to which he can hand the reins. This leaves the Party stuck with “Old Timers” like Hillary and Bernie. Furthermore, Hillary started the “rigging” early. She put her people into place in the DNC (as evidenced by the DNC emails that were hacked and released) and lined up about all of the “Super Delegates” on her side. She was not going to let anyone “blindside” her again like Obama did in 2008.

The fact is that Bernie never had a chance. The democratic nomination was in Hillary’s pocket before the first vote was even cast. I am not even sure why Bernie bothered to run. Perhaps just to have a forum for his ideas on socialism and economics. Of course, his run was useful to Hillary. It gave the appearance that a genuine contest was underway when, in fact, the end was never in doubt.

So, the democratic Leftists have long known that they would be riding the “Old Gray Mare” during this horse race. This filled them with fear. Not because of Hillary’s policies, which are extreme Leftist just like they want. They know that she will build upon the messiah’s legacy. No, they were in fear because it was very possible (given all of Hillary’s negatives) that a republican could beat her like a drum if it came to a real race. Someone like Rubio could appeal to a younger generation and stomp her. Someone like Cruz could unite the conservatives and stomp her.

This is when the bulb lit up on the DNC side! They realized that a “double rigging” would be required in this election. They needed to rig the republican nomination process so as to pick a favorable candidate for Hillary to run against. Someone who has negatives even stronger that Hillary’s (if possible). Normally, it would not be possible to “rig” the other side’s nominating process but they realized that special circumstances made it possible in 2016. First, there were a lot of people running for the republican nomination. This was a double-plus since it made it easy to find (a) a good negative candidate in the field (Donald Trump) for them to favor and (b) it meant that the vote would be so divided that someone could win the nomination with only about 30 to 35% of the primary vote.

The question then became, how to get Trump the 35% of the primary vote needed to secure the republican nomination? That was easy. They simply turned to the 95% of the MSM that has a left-wing bias. They put the word out to play up Trump. Their servants in the MSM were happy to follow their marching orders since reporting on Trump was fun!

Notice that, during the republican primary process, the MSM kept Trump’s name front and center all the time. Trump did not have to spend a dime on buying air-time! The MSM handed it to him by the truck load. Mostly it was favorable too. How Trump was quick with a come-back when attacked! How strong he was in the republican debates!

Other republicans could barely get on the tube. It was a struggle for Cruz, Rubio and the others to get much air-time against the Trump domination.

It worked like a charm too! Trump’s support among mainstream republicans was weak but he got enough support overall, given the fractured republican field, to get him the nomination.

I have no doubt that, when Trump secured the republican nomination, a great sign of relief went up at the Hillary camp, the DNC and the 95% of the MSM who support them. Hillary would be running against a republican with negatives almost as great as hers! Hallelujah!

Now that both Hillary and Trump have been selected in the most rigged presidential nomination process in American history, it is time for the Left’s “piece de resistance”. The final “triple-rigging”!

Whereas the MSM was used to pump up Donald Trump during the nomination process, they are now being used as “attack dogs” to tear him down for Hillary today. Notice how every statement made by Trump is seized and twisted. The constant message is being repeated day by day by day by day by day by the MSM. Donald Trump is dangerous! He is a “loose cannon”! He can’t be trusted with his finger on the nuclear button! Whatever faults Hillary has, she is at least steady. She is stable. She is reliable. She is trustworthy.

When negative news about Hillary comes out, it is only briefly reported and then allowed to die. The MSM knows that the best it can say about Hillary is the least possible. No, the real MSM cannons are now focused on Trump. The plan being, of course, to cast so much doubt upon him that Hillary will be elected by the American People as the “lesser of two evils”.

If anyone doubts that this election is rigged to the extend outlined above, then consider this. Hillary and Trump are the most despised presidential candidates in American History. There has never been a presidential election where BOTH candidates carry the negatives that Hillary and Trump carry. I think that this is pretty much undisputed.

Given these negatives, ask yourself this question: How could have either Hillary or Trump been nominated by their parties if the nomination process had truly been free and fair?

The answer is that they COULD NOT! So, the very fact that we have Hillary and Trump as our main candidates is prima facie evidence that the nomination process WAS NOT free and fair!

Given the constant barrage of negative propaganda against Trump and given that it will not let up for one second between now and election day, there is a really good chance that Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the United States. Yes indeed. With the overwhelming support of the Leftist MSM, the “Old Gray Mare” is likely to win this Horse Race.

However, given the Leftist MSM and DNC’s efforts to prevent the election from being “free and fair”, in my opinion, if Hillary is elected, she will have no more legitimacy than that held by the current President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe.”

In conclusion, the 2016 Presidential Election has been “rigged” in a pre-determined fashion to ensure that Hillary Clinton is the next POTUS. I am going to vote against her (which means voting for Trump) simply because I cannot tolerate seeing such fraud being perpetrated without at least casting a protest vote against it. However, I know that my vote will be for naught since the deck has long been stacked to ensure that the American People (and especially, those who are supporters of the Constitution) will lose.

  7. We are in trouble in more ways than one.
Hilary made this statement and it was barely reported.

Hillary Clinton’s Speech to a Foreign Bank: ‘My Dream Is a Hemispheric Common Market with Open Trade and Open Borders’.
Does that sound like “one world government”……maybe that’s going too far, but there is so much back dealing, I’m not sure.

I just voted absentee for Trump. He wasn’t my first or second choice but he is HUGELY, better than Hillary!
    PEOPLE….remember the supreme court!!!!!!@!!

With respect to Trump’s “locker room talk”, as a very self respecting woman I can honestly say that it DOESN’T make a difference!! If people were “honest” they would acknowledge that language like that is not “rare” among men (primarily) and women when they are in “certain” company.
Let’s get real, a life long politician may be careful about what they say in order to protect their image,…..but Trump is not a life long politician, he’s a man used to running a large powerful company.

  8. Mas,

Your article is perfect! I too will be holding my nose and voting for Trump.

    TN_MAN,

Great analysis. (And Dennis gave a great analysis on the previous article). I agree with what you wrote. I would add one more possibility for a rigged election. Hardly anyone shows up at Hillary’s rallies. Lots of people show up at Trump’s. I can’t prove it, but I suspect George Soros will make sure the electronic voting machines deliver a win to Hillary.

  9. Mas,
I am sorry that he is gone, but I am glad that Col. Jeff Cooper can’t see what is happening to us. I can imagine that he is just shaking his head right now from wherever he is. RIP Col. Cooper!

  10. & TN_MAN Says:

You certainly hit the Nail, directly on the head!

The Democratic Sheep will vote for whoever they are told to!

The Republican Sheep, thinking that the are a “Superior Thinking Class of Sheep” will each think that they have the perfect mental image of who “They will Vote For as President”, and if the Republican Nominee doesn’t mach that Image “Exactly”, they will sooth their bent feelings by: A. Not Voting at all, B. Voting Democrat, or C. Voting for some third Party Candidate. who will NEVER WIN, Not realizing they have only made the situation worse, instead of better!

Democratic Presidents, within recent Memory, have ALL HAD WOMAN, NOT THEIR WIVE’S, INCLUDING FDR, JFK (& RFK W/MARILYN MONROE)) BILL CLINTON, AND HILLARY (The Arkansas School teaching, and having, sex with minor Boys, and Girls)!

    So, as I Posted previously:

Sorry Folks, but I just can’t believe that ANY GUN OWNER COULD POSSIBLY JUSTIFY AN EXCUSE TO CAST A VOTE, FOR HILLARY, OR ANY OTHER DEMOCRATIC POLITICIAN, FOR THAT MATTER, AS OUR NEXT, AND LAST, PRESIDENT/DICTATOR!!

When you are dragged off to jail, or murdered. by the typical Government middle of the night, kick your door in RAID, killing anyone who might think it is a ROBBERY, and try to DEFEND THEMSELVES, Remember WHO YOU VOTED FOR THIS NOVEMBER, if you have time on your TRIP to HELL?

    Paul

  11. Since no amount of votes for Trump will change the outcome of this election, I have decided to cast a vote *for* someone. It may be a feel good thing of the moment, but I figure on the ZERO chance I have to win I will write my own name in. Heck, there’s no way I can screw thins up worse than Trump or Clinton could.

My campaign slogan is a simple one: “I can’t stop our country’s slide into hell, but I will make sure you have a handbasket!”

  12. The entire voting system is a fraud. Rep Vs Dem is a fraud. Good news is many Americans are awaken and can see how bad we were played by a corrupt system. The bad new is we are screwed.

p.s. Before I forgot check the international news to see how close we are for a Thermo Nuclear exchange with Russia. I never thought that one day we as Americans support a Government who build and trained Satanic cult named ISIS. The truth is Russia is killing ISIS but we bomb the Syrian people and blame it in Russians. The world is upside down if you ask me.

  13. One less vote for Trump equals one more vote for Hillary. One more vote for Hillary equals one more vote for the end of America. This is our last chance.

  14. I understand the views held here, but I believe we do know both candidates positions. We have fought and won (some) against anti-gunners in the past, I hope that we can do it again. Trump’s position is ANYTHING that is best for HIM. If he thinks being anti-gun tomorrow will be to his advantage, his view will change tomorrow, and he will deny ever believing differently. Remember how he now denies all the things he has said in the past. He is not just a menace to the 2nd Amendment, but to the Constitution. Imagine, V. Putin of Russia supports Trump! He will not hesitate to send our soldiers to die for his profit. Someone said that when fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in an American flag. We know where we stand with (against) Clinton, Trump will cut anyones’ throat.

  15. If our only choice truly was either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, I’d make a write in vote for Cthulhu, since he’s a lesser evil than either of those two. Darkly humorous hyperbole aside, we do have a third choice: the former Governor of New Mexico, Gary Johnson, who is for upholding all of our rights as guaranteed under the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Johnson is on the ballot in all 50 states and if he gets enough votes in key states, he will prevent either Clinton or Trump from attaining the 270 electoral votes required to be elected President and we can get the election thrown into the House of Representatives. The Republican Party holds the majority in the House and many of them do not support Trump and they sure as bloody blue blazes don’t support Clinton. That taken into consideration, Johnson can win and he would be a far sight better than either Trump or Clinton.

So, if you want to vote to throw us all to Donald Trump, that’s your choice. As for me, it’s Johnson all the way in 2016.

  16. Well, the way my state, MA, is set up, there is no way to deny Clinton electoral votes as the delegates have stated for whom they will vote. The Framers didn’t trust the peasants to not be swayed by, well, someone like Trump, so they allowed the fix to be in for someone like Clinton. They were pretty smart but you can’t cover all the bases, especially two hundred years into the future.

  17. Eddie, unfortunately, yet as usual, Mas is right. And even if Johnson could win, take a good hard 2nd Amendment look at his running mate.

Blain Nay, take a deep breath or two. I know we are in an insane situation but not every Dem is evil any more than all republicans will be complicit (in ANY regard) in putting hrc in the white house. Being brainwashed, ignorant, dumb, etc, or just plain wrong is not being evil.

Fruitbat44, I may have misread or misinterpreted you and/or Mas. The only ‘evil’ comment I see here is by Blain.

TN_Man, yes. While I might argue some of the minutia and see a thing or to differently and even see some additional factors in play, yes. You nailed it.

I agree with Mas.I can NOT vote for hrc. Period.
Any pro-second Amendment vote for any third party candidate is a vote that detracts from The ONLY candidate that can beat hrc and hence, is a vote for hrc.

It is just that simple. Sorry. If there was a true groundswell for Johnson, maybe it would be different. Face reality. It just isn’t (as it stands now) going to happen. I truly wish we were not locked in to this 2 party system mentality. And especially for this election. Sorry. Reality bites.

Now consider that Trump is not a career politician and BANG. We have a bit of a derailment of the two party system. JUST WHAT LIBERTARIANS SAY WE NEED.

Let’s get together and shatter the two party system by electing Trump (while holding our noses) and send a major message to both parties that we have had enough!

I am with ya Mas. Carry on.

  18. TN_MAN, I congratulate you on a good analysis of the current mess. Further, I thank you for seeing the obvious: if you don’t vote for Trump you are, in effect, voting for Hillary.
Eddie: You say you cannot vote for Trump because you need to “keep your integrity and principles.” This election is akin to a gunfight. Only in the old “B” westerns did the good guy treat the bad guy (who had just tried to kill him) with respect. In real life one does what they must do in a gunfight to survive. Deception, “cheating”, anything necessary to prevail and keep your life is the acceptable response to the dirtbag who is trying to end that life by killing you. Hillary is trying to end our “lives” as we know them and it is NOT wrong to do what is necessary to save our way of life. Stick to your principles and have integrity in all you do but not in this “gunfight.” Vote Trump, if only to win, beat Hillary, and help save our collective 2nd Amendment-supporting “lives,” please.

  19. Nice analogy Bob.

I was just thinking that some of us just weathered the hurricane here in FL. We must do the same in this election. Preparation can be life saving. The aftermath is an important part of the situation and preparation takes the aftermath into account. With hrc, we know what we get (or loose). Some things we are certain of. Nuf said in my opinion.

  20. Pretty sure Johnson is anti-gun and his vice president is definitely anti-gun. The libertarian party is now a joke or controlled opposition, however you want to look at it.

  21. The latest “leakage” appears to say that Trump was quietly chosen and supported by the Democratic Party as the only Republican that Hillary could beat. Ambassador Stevens sent over 600 calls for help out of Benghazi. Hillary opted for political correctness (at best), and Stevens died. You could call him #44 on the Clinton hit parade. I think that Trump would have sent a “portable war” to pull Stevens out of the fire. I believe that Trump will get more votes than Hillary, and he will get mine. Sometimes you must just do what you can and take what comes. One thing that bothers me is a knee-jerk “liberal” view that men are bad, but women are good. Hillary resembles a brawl-promoting barfly who feels that fighting is all about her, and who can’t promote enough trouble. Stop ISIS!

  22. Yvonne said, “Gary Johnson, who is for upholding all of our rights as guaranteed under the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Johnson is on the ballot in all 50 states and if he gets enough votes in key states, he will prevent either Clinton or Trump from attaining the 270 electoral votes required to be elected President and we can get the election thrown into the House of Representatives.”

For that to work, “enough” has to mean that Johnson has to win the election — getting more votes than either Clinton or Trump — in those key states since every state except for Maine and Nebraska assign electoral votes on a winner-take-all basis. Johnson may do better this year than the Lib candidate would in a normal election year, but beat both Clinton and Trump in any state, much less enough to send the election to the House? If I were a betting man, I’d rather bet on Trump winning the election outright — which at this point is itself a longshot at best — than the Lib (or Green) candidate winning even a single state.

And before Republicans jump over to the Lib candidate, they might want to check out the Libertarian platform:
    https://www.lp.org/platform
    – Pro-abortion? Yes, or at least opposed to laws against it
    – Pro-same sex marriage (and polygamy/andry)? Yes
    – Anti-Patriot Act? Probably
    – Pro-recreational-drug-legalization? Yes
    – Anti-death penalty? Yes
    – Anti-draft? Yes
    – Pro-totally-open-international-free-trade? Yes
    – Pro-totally-open-immigration? Yes except for criminals and terrorists
    – Pro-guns? Yes
Well, from the point of view of most of the posters here, I guess that’s _one_.

  23. Leftism is a cancer in the American bloodstream.

I’m a member of the stupid party where some of its members think that we can survive another 8 years of it.

  24. My state, Oregon, is a winner take all electoral votes. We know Hillary will win – Portland / Eugene. Therefore any vote for Trump is a lost vote.

I am voting for Gary, for the main reason that 4 years from now, I’d like to see a viable 3rd party in the election. (and yes I am aware that many smart people believe there can never be a 3rd party candidate)

I believe Gary would be an effective president, should some unforeseen thing happen.

I do think that the big loser is the RNC. Who did they have? Who did they suggest was a better choice than Mr. Trump? Now, Paul Ryan and many others are whining in public?

Besides the 2nd Amendment what are issues facing our society?
    1. The 1st Amendment is under attack
    – religious establishment (if you don’t believe in Global warming you can be censured or terminated – that is religion. )
    – the idea of 1st amendment zones at colleges / protests

    2. War with ISIS (even if the current administration doesn’t get it)

    3. Debt

    4. Regulations – especially in places like CA

    5. Open borders – non-documented residents

    6. The background issues on BLM – there are institutional problems and there are perception problems. We need to have community support for the Police and other Justice department agencies – and you know we do not now.
(I do not support BLM – but they have brought some attention to the issue )
    – seizure of property without a conviction to be included

    7. Energy – To frack or not. Pipeline or not. Ethanol or not. Drill or not.

    8. Education. If more money were the solution DC would lead the world.

    9. Racial healing. Why are there new segregated housing on college campus’. Didn’t all the boomers fight and die to eliminate segregation? How is this a thing again?

Our Bread and Circus’ is that the Kardashian family is in the news cycle, every, single, day.

  25. My husband and I are Vets, and he is a combat vet.
Benghazi is a huge deal to us! The attack lasted 13 hours…..No one knows how long a battle will last, 2 hours, 13 hours, 1 day, a week. etc.
The SAD thing is that after 13 hours NO ONE was on there way to help.
Rescuing your own is a “sacred” duty in the military.

  26. Mas, you and your kind are truly DEPLORABLE, just as the wise old arrogant witch has recently stated to her adoring fanatical hordes 😉

For those of you who have voted for or will cast your ballots for anyone other than Donald Trump, our Dear Leader and HillBilly, plus millions of gun hating liberals thank you from the bottoms of their black hearts.

Just as with the past two presidential elections, where I gritted my teeth and held my nose tightly and voted for the lesser of two evils, I will do the same again this year. Both didn’t go the way I had wanted, but hopefully this third time may be the better. If it doesn’t, I will shoot up most of my ammo supply, but keep a few rounds handy when the gun confiscating stormtroopers kick in my door one night before too long.

I may be deplorable, but I find HillBilly and her vile ilk totally despicable.

  27. @ Jo Ann:

You need to read my post more carefully. I was commenting on the propaganda that the mainstream media (MSM) is feeding us. I was not commenting on my views or on the reality of the situation.

Clearly, to describe Hillary Clinton as “trustworthy” would be similar to describing Adolf Hitler as “saintly”! 🙂

  28. “The “statement” made by voting for them gives only an empty, self-righteous “feel-good” moment to that particular voter, and does not serve the common good. ”

Mas, I wish you hadn’t said it just that way. I read you regularly and generally am in complete agreement. Please don’t demean or speak scornfully of those of us who cannot in good conscience vote for either Trump or Clinton.

  29. Attempt to justify it any way you like or how it will make your delusions more palatable. A vote for anyone besides Killery Rotten Clinton is a for FOR Killery Rotten Clinton.

The delusional fools who voted for Ross Perot to, “Send a message” sent us eight years of the most criminal, corrupt and embarrassing administration in the history of the United States. Now you want to give us Clinton 2.0.

God save the Republic from well meaning but delusional fools.

  30. Gary Johnson will never see the inside of the White House, unless he’s part of the regular supervised tours.

If he does get elected to be POTUS, the bulletproof windows of the Oval Office will have to be kept open so the huge clouds of marijuana smoke he exhales can be aired out. Talk about being elected to a ‘High’ position 😉

Bill Clinton, if he visits, will have to hold his breath as he never inhaled.

  31. Donald needs to stick to the high ground and not get bogged down in squabbling with Paul Ryan or anyone else.

  32. This election was over when they did not stop Trump at the convention. He was doomed to failure, as almost all people who are all ego and no substance are. There is zero chance that Trump wins after that tape came out. Zero. It will be a bloodbath like you’ve never seen, regardless of how many noses are held.

Sadly, this means the criminal Clinton will become president. Get ready for a not-very-fun ride for the next 4 years, and get out and support as many down ballot pro-gun candidates as you can (Don’t listen to the Trump whackadoos who say not to vote for other Republicans because they have principles and have shunned Trump — interesting how we must hold our noses for the good of the party, but they don’t have to).

I will not be pulling for Trump, I’ll likely vote Johnson. Not because I think he can win, or I think he’s the best for Gun Rights. I actually don’t like a lot about him. But I can’t give my vote to someone as vile and moronic as Trump, and my vote won’t count anyways (I live in MA). This should send a message to those who think we can defeat the democrats by nominating someone based on rhetoric and not substance, especially when they are narcissistic egomaniacs. It can’t be done, we need a strong conservative who understands and agrees with the issues we care about. Pulling for a serial Democrat-supporter, who is in it for himself and not us, isn’t and never was the right call.

All Trump has done this cycle is played the role of very realistic Democrat-invented conservative strawman. He was literally the embodiment of every false evil liberals claim all conservatives are. It will be hard for decades to overcome this election, especially when great organizations like the NRA hitched their fortunes to someone like that in desperation.

  33. Steven S.: You have a typo. You said 4 years. That should have been 8 and maybe even move depending on just how badly the Republican Party has been damaged and/or taken over by an extreme element that cannot get a presidential candidate elected. Cruz or another right-wing candidate might have had a chance this year since Trump’s problems are in large part due to him, uniquely, and his personality, but there’s a very good chance that his failure has tarred all the current ones who might have had a chance and any newcomers will have to run on a platform which disavows him and alienates that part of the party base who are his true believers. The internecine warfare within the Republican Party in the next few years will be interesting to watch.

  34. I have read and, to a certain extent, understood the comments of those who can’t bring themselves to vote for Trump, even though they recognize the threat to our country and future in the form of a Hillary presidency. They speak of showing their disgust by voting third party in protest, acknowledging this vote will be in vain.

I have also tried to come up with an analogy of our situation that would possibly change their mind.Hopefully, what follows will not offend anyone, rather will give a different perspective.

Imagine that you’re in a combat theater and your patrol has come up on an abandoned fire base. Suddenly you come under mortar attack and the first round explodes with you just outside the kill radius. You spot an abandoned foxhole ten foot from you and you scramble to jump into it for safety as other rounds start exploding around you. Just as you are about to jump in you see that the previous occupant took a crap in it before leaving. You frantically attempt to spot another, better refuge, but a viable alternative is not in sight.

I will not hesitate. If someone else chooses to take their chances by staying exposed to incoming, out of principle, that’s your option. Don’t complain if things don’t work out for you.

  35. How sad that apparently so many people are saying, “Well my state is lost to Hillary anyway so i might as well vote for someone who wonlt win but will make me feel better. In 1775 if the Patriots (only 3% of the colonists!) had said, well, we can’t win this war because we can’t garner enough support from the other colonists so we might as well tun in our muskets and pay our taxes to King George, where would we be today?
My opinion of you people is not something I will post here but it lies somewhere between cowards and traitors. You espouse that you want our country to do better but, when the only party that has a remote chance of doing that endorses someone that you don’t like you abandon ship. There is NO ONE who is going to do everything just like we want; NO ONE who is the perfect Conservative candidate, We came up with someone who has many faults but he is the only one with a chance of at least pointing out country in the right direction. Like a ship, turning around is a slow process but it has to begin somewhere. Once the turn is started we can continue but not if you people abandon ship. Take your [blanking] pride and principles and stick them in your pocket for now. Don’t use the fact that your state has traditionally gone blue. Make this the year that is goes red and shows these entrenched politicians that we are sick and tired of them. If you give up now you are no better than the Loyalists. Haven’t you ever heard of an underdog winning? No way that can happen if you give up before the battle starts. Do you remember the incredible underdog win of the U.S. over the Russian hockey team? If they had “given up” in the locker room before the game, this victory would never had happened. Support Trump and we CAN win!

  36. Steven S.

I hope you are not right about Donald Trump. However, it is true, he has been a lifelong Democrat. I do not have any hope Trump can win, but, if I did have hope, I would be thinking along these lines. Donald Trump must love America, because it has been very good to him. It makes sense that someone like him would step up to the plate, at a time like this, and try to save us. Donald Trump is a doer. When he takes on a business project, you can be sure he surrounds himself with talented people. If he did not listen to these people, he would not be as successful as he is. If he were to become President he would hopefully surround himself with good advisors, AND he would take their advice. If he did that, Donald Trump could be a good, maybe even a great, President. He certainly is a smart, talented individual who is a financial winner.

But, thinking positively only leads to disappointment. When I look at all the signs of the times, I can only come to one conclusion. WE……ARE…….DOOMED!!!

  37. A wise man man said something to the effect of, the political race always comes down to the lesser of two evils, which begs the question, why do we have to choose evil at all?

In my old age, I’ve come to understand that no human has the right to rule over free people. If someone tells you what to do, or not do, you’re not free. Electing people who rule over you and your family does NOT make you free.

For this reason I will NOT vote. The more you ignore the politicians, the more free we become.

  38. As of this morning the recent allegations about Trump don’t seem to be having any measurable effect. In fact, the woman who claimed Trump abused her on an airplane, 30 years ago, has had her credibility destroyed for a couple of reasons that I won’t go into here.

The bottom line is this: Support Trump or hate him, his Supreme court picks will be without question better than the socialists and Constitution destroyers that Hillary would appoint. These judges will affect our lives and the lives of our children and grandchildren for the next 40 or so years.

If you can live with that, you are NOT an American patriot and all the blood, sweat, tears and lives lost in defense of that Constitution will have been wasted.

If you are a patriot, there is no argument in favor of either voting for Hillary or throwing your vote away on an impossible third party candidate.
    Period.

  39. Paul S – Just saying what I think; which is while I might disagree with the choices someone makes, when it comes to voting I respect their right to make a choice different to mine, and that I don’t consider them a horrible person for doing so. Okay in an ideal world it ought not to need saying, but with strong feelings and with this not being an ideal world . . . anyway, take car.

  40. Greg: Your last sentence reminded me of what the ancient Greek General and statesman, Pericles, once said: “Just because you do not take an interest in politics (or politicians) doesn’t mean politics (or politicians) won’t take an interest in you.”

This is the most screwy presidential election in my lifetime. The winner will be either a known corrupt, lying, negligent, incompetent, self-serving/self-enriching leftist extremist (and criminal in my opinion) with a dismal political record, or an unknown real estate magnate, populist and Washington, District of Criminals outsider.

Me, voting for a Libertarian, Green or Constitution candidate? Uh…no thanks. That’s like betting my hard-earned dough on the Browns to win the Super Bowl this season because I like their uniforms better than the other 31 teams. Ain’t. Gonna. Happen.

So Mas, color me a Trump voter, too.

Some political pundits on both sides of the political spectrum have said and written that what scares HRC and the DNC the most are the apolitical Americans who typically don’t participate in presidential elections (some never have), but have registered to vote next month because they’re fed up with the D.C. vermin and view Trump as an anti-D.C. outsider. We’ll see just how big their numbers are in 25 days.

  41. I wonder what we would all be talking about today if our Founding Fathers had sat around the table thinking things like “I sure don’t like the King, I wish we had another choice”, and ” I sure would like to fight for our independence, but no one has ever beat the British Army or won their independence from them, so I guess we will just stick with what we have”.
Pretend for a moment you are one of those signers of the Declaration of Independence, and you have to vote in this election. Do you vote for a corrupt politician who doesn’t want to follow the Constitution? Do you vote for a morally absent man who can’t be trusted? Or do you vote for the little guy, the underdog who will fight for the Constitution, the 10th amendment, Liberty, and freedom? The guy who will listen to all of America, not attack half of it’s population.
3rd parties don’t win. But 8 years ago we had never had a black president. 6 months ago we never had a woman candidate. And 240 years ago America had never been independent. #whatwouldwashingtondo #letgarydebate #revolution2016

  42. If you are interested in Trump’s TAXES, The current issue of The Enquirer obtained them an had an Accountant check them out.

The Accountant’s answer was that Trump doing every thing Legally, that any Successful Billionaire who knows how the TAX Code works, would have done the same thing.

So, We will vote for Trump, and hope He’ll “Clean Up” the mess in Washington, D.C.?

Can’t believe the bunch of “Loser’s” who talk of their Morales, and then Vote for Hillary, or a third party candidate, who will will “Split the Vote, helping the worst case Scenario, and Hillary will win because of Their Stupidity, or “not Vote at all”, with the same results!!

    Paul
