Mas here, just commemorating a personal anniversary: today makes five years that I’ve been “helicopter crash free.”
And now back

Daniel Defense.
New this year is the Delta 5This is not just another 700….
“That’s a wrap” After walking for what seems forever, my 2019 SHOT Show campaign is finished. Just like last year, I was able to see so many new gems, and meet so many new people, I had a blast. I hope my Sophomore effort gave you, the reader, a glimpse of an amazing show, and an amazing week in Las Vegas. I was blessed to have the support of my wonderful wife Marian with me this week. When I was not covering the show, I was able to show her around Las Vegas for the first time in many years. A very special thanks to the great folks at Backwoods Home magazine. I am so glad the magazine is once again in print form, I wish the magazine many more successful years moving forward. Mas, once again you were missed this year, thanks for all the e-mails keeping me in the loop on events during the week. Be seeing you on the range my friend.
And last, but surely not least, Gail/E.P.I sure had fun blowing up your inbox again this year. Thanks for all your work getting my reports to the readers. Lord willing, I will see you in 2020 !! Until then, stay safe. Jim Fitzpatrick.

Just finished Ed Mireles’ book, great read, thank for recommending it.
Great job, Jim. Thanks for the reports.
“5,250,650 lumens”?! Wow! That’s one bright light! (Just kidding.)
Happy Anniversary! I remember reading your article about that helicopter crash and the fact that due to proper finger indexing there were no negligent discharges all the way down. And I thought of it recently when I read an article about how a police officer was shot accidentally by one of her colleagues when a large dog broke out of its cage in a house they were searching and chased the officer out the door (he shot her through the door as he was running out). I was very surprised the department chose not to discipline the officer in any way, claiming the incident “was not a result of an act of negligence, carelessness or otherwise reckless behavior…”. I think otherwise. Had that officer not had his finger on the trigger when running out toward his fellow officers, his colleague would not have been shot.
Best wishes and stay out of helicopters – I don’t think they like you,
John Mohan
Five years helicopter crash free? Keep up the good work. 🙂
Jim and Mas,
Thanks for the excellent reports. And a special thanks to Al Gore for inventing the Internet, so we could view these products from almost anywhere in the world. (That’s a joke. Al Gore didn’t invent the Internet, but I have heard that Google uses Al Gore rhythms).
Those Maxpedition packs look like they would work well for people who want to practice the “grey man” concept.
“Al Gore Rhythms”, I like that. I’m going borrow it if you don’t mind
good report. thanx.
I want one… of EACH! lol
Congrats for your coverage Jim, and for Mas keeping himself in one piece!
