With Independence Day in the middle of this week, folks are spreading their holiday time between the weekends, it seems. Sunday, driving home from a MAG-180 in Wisconsin (where staff and students alike were AWESOME!) we witnessed a spectacular fireworks display from the highway as we passed Indianapolis.
Stay cool, and stay hydrated. Gonna be a scorcher in a lot of places.
Be careful with the fireworks, and of course, the guns. There’s gonna be some gunfire on my property on the Fourth, you can bet, but it will be drills on the range and nothing going skyward. (Regular readers know that’s kinda fresh in my mind right now.)

As someone who is still on his first wife then i have to say that yes you are allowed to celebrate Independence Day as long as you get prior permission.

Congratulations on your wedding. My wife’s and my anniversary is July 3. If I want to provoke her, I refer to it as Loss of Independence Day.
