  11. These few words have nothing to do with firearms or self defense but with the spirit of Christmas and it’s meaning. I went to church today to celebrate the birth of Christ and to once again renew my Roman Catholic faith. As I listened to the children sing I cried. I cried with joy because I remembered how wonderful it was to sing in the choir and learn Latin to serve as an altar boy in the early sixties as a kid growing up in Brooklyn NY. The times were much more innocent than these days. But today I felt peace for the first time in a long time. A happiness kinda like when I was a kid back in Brooklyn. My point is that I wish in many ways that we still had those times back again or at least the innocence of those days back again. And to wish peace upon all of my fellow patriotic, gun totin believers and non believers. And to Mr. Ayoob for all the years he has dedicated to helping us find a kind of peace through his teachings! Merry Christmas one and all and may the good Lord bless us all.

      I grew up “over” on Staten Island, 50’s and 60’s.
      Agree with your comments, t’was a more simple and innoccent time.

    • Innocent ??? Maybe the innocence of a childs eyes I suspect. I clearly remember cities in flames by the HUNDREDS. Family friends dead overseas in fetid rice paddies. The Pentagon undrr seige. Chicago police going rogue and rioting. Race unrest no one today sees. German shepards on tether by police tearing into black flesh. A night I will never forget where our President warned that my country, America, might be incinerated in an hour or two. Friends and mentors transmitting crypto messages and getting overloaded in prep for Cuban invasion. Hundreds meeting their end in a secret black war with Russkies and commies across the globe. Multiple US politicians being murdered. I watched my first live murder on TV 3 days after getting the news at school that JFK had his head blown off in Dallas…..Dear Jesus save me from the peaceful bucolic 1960s….
